Female Nonsmokers Get More Lung Cancer
Listen here
Almost 20 percent of women who get lung cancer have never smoked, a new study by the Stanford University School of Medicine has found.
In men the percentage is about 8 percent.
Last year the actress Dana Reeve died of lung cancer. Reeve, however, was never a smoker.
The doctors who did the study wanted to get a better understanding of why lung cancer occurs in nonsmokers.
