Toyota Is The World's Top Carmaker

Toyota sold more cars than any other company in 2006.

The Japanese automaker surpassed the American giant General Motors by about 128,000 cars, according to Automotive News magazine.

Toyota sold 8,808,000 vehicles last year.

Toyota is expected to sell more cars than General Motors in 2007 as well.
