The Tour de France in London

For the first time in its 104-year history, the Tour de France began in England.

Close to a million people gathered along the streets of London to watch the world's best cyclists race.

Australian Robbie McEwen won the first stage, a 203-kilometer race from London to Canterbury.

The Tour de France ends on July 29 in Paris.
