Jerry Yang, a psychologist from California, won $8.25 million in the World Series of Poker tournament on Wednesday.

Yang only started playing the game two years ago.

Yang grew up in Laos and moved to the United States as a young adult.

He said his knowledge of psychology has helped him in poker.
