Carlos Slim does not care if he is the richest person in the world or not.

Slim, who recently replaced Microsoft's Bill Gates as the world's wealthiest person, told reporters he did not know his exact fortune.

"It's water off a duck's back to me. I don't know if I'm No. 1, No. 20, or No. 2,000. It doesn't matter," Slim said.

The Mexican businessman is worth an estimated $67.8 billion.
