Beckham Is Finally Playing

After a long wait, North American soccer fans had a chance to see David Beckham play on Thursday.

Beckham could not play with his new team, the Los Angeles Galaxy, until yesterday because of an ankle injury.

The Washington, D.C. crowd cheered Beckham when he came onto the field.

However, Beckham was not able to lead his team to victory. Washington won the game by a score of 1-0.
