The compact disc turned 25 years old on Friday.

It was made in Germany by both Phillips and Sony. The first CD to appear in stores was "The Visitors" by Abba.

Since then, more than 200 billion CDs have been sold around the world.

Nowadays, however, there are fewer CD sales as more people download their music digitally.
