T. Rex Was Fast

Tyrannosaurus rex was not only enormous, but it was also extremely fast.

A study at the University of Manchester showed that the dinosaur could outrun all but the quickest of today's humans.

The study, performed on a supercomputer, demonstrated that T. Rex could run at 18 miles per hour, a speed that is faster than the average professional soccer player. Only a handful of Olympic sprinters can run at a greater speed.
