Fires Destroy Olive Trees

The production of olive oil in Greece will decrease this year because of recent forest fires.

The fires have destroyed approximately 5 million olive trees. At least 5 percent of this year's olive harvest may be lost.

Greece is the world's third largest supplier of olive oil.

The economies of several small villages in Greece depend on the production of olive oil.
