Cyclists Have Bigger Hearts

Cyclists who participate in the Tour de France have a heart which is 40 percent larger than that of an average person, according to a team of French cardiologists, the doctors who study the heart.
Scientists have noticed for a long time that athletes who take part in demanding sports, such as running, swimming and cycling, tend to have larger hearts.
The Tour de France is considered to be one of the most difficult challenges in sports.
