The Journey of the Godwit
Listen here
If traveling long distances makes you tired, then think about the godwit.
The migration of the godwit is longer than any other bird. It makes the 11,500-kilometer journey from Alaska to New Zealand at the end of the summer in one week without stopping. It takes the same trip back to Alaska six months later.
Unlike other migratory birds, which stop and rest on their journey, the godwit keeps going.
