McLaren Is Fined $100 Million

The McLaren racing team will have to pay a $100 million penalty for spying on Ferrari.

The team, which consists of drivers Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso, received the most severe punishment in the history of the sport.

McLaren was found guilty of obtaining technical information from Ferrari.

Despite the punishment, Hamilton and Alonso, who are the top two drivers this season, may continue to race. Each will be allowed the chance to be the best driver of the year.

However, McLaren will not be allowed to win the team competition.
