A Viking Ship Beneath a Pub

A 1000-year-old ship has been found under the car park of a pub near Liverpool.

This is the first Viking ship ever to be found in Britain.

The ship, which lies two meters under the Railway Inn, was first discovered in 1938. However, it was covered up by workers at the time because they were afraid it would slow down their work.

It is hoped that the vessel can be removed carefully and exhibited in a museum.
