A Man Is Fined for Working

A Canadian man will have to pay a $970 fine because he did not take a day off from work.

Adam Duerr, who works at a bakery in the city of Edmonton, was told to stay home because he had showed signs of salmonella poisoning.

However, he continued to go to work.

"We almost never have people who disobey the order to stay off work," a city health official said.
