Rubik Contest Is Held in Hungary
Listen here
The fourth Rubik's Cube World Championships were held this weekend in Budapest, Hungary.
A Japanese teenager will be taking home $7,000 for being the fastest person to solve the Rubik's cube.
Yu Nakajima was able to put the cube back together in an average of 12.46 seconds in five attempts.
Matyas Kuti, a 14-year-old from Hungary, was the winner in the blindfolded competition. That is, he had his eyes covered.
Other categories included contests with one's feet and four and five square cubes.
More than 300 million Rubik's cubes have been sold since the game was invented in the 1980s.
Erno Rubik, the inventor of the game, gave out prizes to all of this year's winners.
