Hold-Ups in Italy

Italy is the European leader in bank robberies.

There were more than 3,000 hold-ups in Italy last year -- 57 percent of the European total. A large percentage of the attempted robberies were successful.

There is a one in ten chance that an Italian bank will be held up every year.
