A Possible Rembrandt Has Sold For $4.5 Million
When it was first purchased many years ago for $3,000, it was believed the painting was a copy of an original Rembrandt.
However, some art experts were not so sure. They think the painting is an original. Last week, they traveled to England to attend an auction.
The price of the small self-portrait of Rembrandt climbed and climbed, until the winning bid was announced at $4.5 million.
"I was shocked," said Phillip Alwood, the man who organized the auction.
