A Hockey Player Gives Back
Marian Gaborik is one of the best ice hockey players in the world.
Nevertheless, the 25-year-old Slovak, who plays for the Minnesota Wild, has not forgotten his roots.
Gaborik has helped build an ice hockey arena, which will serve as a training facility for young players, in his home town of Trencin, Slovakia.
He has also set up the Marian Gaborik Foundation. The foundation’s goal is for children to be active in sports and to stay off drugs.
