October 31 Is Halloween
Listen here
October 31 is a special day for young people in many countries. Millions of children will celebrate the holiday of Halloween.
During the evening, children put on costumes. Next, they go to houses, knock on the door and say: "Trick or treat?" The people in the house then give them candy.
One of the decorations for Halloween is a carved pumpkin with a candle inside.
Halloween is believed to have started in Ireland to mark the evening before "All Saints Day" on November 1.
Halloween is also celebrated by adults who have costume parties.
