Australia to New Zealand by Kayak

A plane would be faster. Nevertheless, two young Australians want to travel to New Zealand in a kayak.

Justin Jones and James Castrission set out on their journey yesterday from a small town north of Sydney.

They plan to complete their 2,200-kilometer trip by Christmas. If they are successful, they will become the first people to cross the Tasman Sea in a kayak.
