Australians Have Voted For Change

Australia elected a new government on Saturday.

Kevin Rudd, the new prime minister, said he will make changes to the country's positions on a number of issues.

For example, Rudd plans to pull Australian soldiers out of Iraq. Also, Rudd has promised to sign the Kyoto agreement on the environment.

Australians voted for a different government, even though the country has had a strong economy in recent years.
