Bush's Letter to North Korea

George W. Bush has written a letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong Il.

In the letter, Bush asks the North Korean leader to tell the truth about his country's nuclear program.

If he does so, then the United States and North Korea could have better relations, Bush wrote.

The letter is the first direct contact between the two leaders.
