Venezuela Forms Its Own Time Zone

Clocks in Venezuela were set back half an hour on Sunday.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez believes the new time zone will improve the performance of the country because people will get up earlier.

No other country shares this time zone with Venezuela. However, Chavez said he is not interested in what other countries think.

"I don't care if they call me crazy, the new time will go ahead," he said.
