Oscar Peterson

Canadian Oscar Peterson was considered to be one of the best jazz pianists who ever lived.

Peterson was born in Montreal and played with many jazz legends, such as Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Charlie Parker.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper called Peterson, who died on Monday in Toronto, a "giant in music".
