Martin Luther King Day

The third Monday of January is Martin Luther King Day in the United States.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader who tried to bring equal rights to all people - regardless of the color of their skin.

In 1964 - at age 35 - he became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

He was killed by a gunman in April 1968.
