Estonia Is a European Tech Leader

Estonia is far ahead of most European countries when it comes to technology.

The small Baltic country has one of the highest levels of broadband Internet access, mobile phones and hotspots per capita anywhere in Europe.

The Estonian parliament has said that Internet access is a basic human right.

Estonia's story is remarkable because until 1991 it was part of the Soviet bloc and most Estonians did not even have a telephone.
