A Man Falls Asleep After Breaking Into a Pub
Listen here
A man in southeast Hungary picked the wrong time to take a nap.
According to a report in the Hungarian media, the man broke into a local pub and helped himself to a glass of vodka and a bottle of beer.
He then placed a bottle of vodka and a beer into a bag. However, he was so tired that he fell asleep before he left the bar.
When the owner of the pub arrived the next morning, he saw the man lying on the floor. Police had no problem arresting the man.

Hi David, In this case, “to help oneself” means to take it without paying, ie, to steal a drink. Sometimes we say “help yourself” politely to a guest in a house. For example: “May I have another candy?” “Help yourself.”
