If you have been studying English for a while, then you will have noticed that American and British speakers sometimes use different words, spellings and phrases.

Rachel Smith runs a popular channel on YouTube called Rachel’s English, where she helps students improve their use of American English.

She recently produced a video together with Kaplan International Colleges at YouTube’s studios in Manhattan.

Before filming started, Rachel visited a Kaplan English school in New York to meet students from around the world. (Kaplan has three schools in the city).

In the video below, you will see that Rachel uses one of the Kaplan illustrations which appear frequently on Simple English News.
