Of all of Michael Phelps’s victories in the Beijing Olympics, the closest was in the 100-meter butterfly race.

The official statistics claim that Phelps beat Serbia’s Milorad Cavic by .01 of a second. However, there had been some debate as to whether Phelps had really won the race.

Omega, the company in charge of keeping time of the races, is also one of Phelps’s sponsors.

This weekend Omega released photos of the race which showed Phelps arriving at the finish line just ahead of Cavic.
