Don’t We Need English Anymore?
Skype, a computer communications application, introduces a new interpreting service Skype – Translator.
Currently up to 50 languages can be automatically translated as chat messages are typed.
Additionally Skype can, in almost real time, translate English, Spanish, Italian and Chinese from the spoken word into another of these languages as an almost simultaneous spoken interpretation service.
Google set up a similar service, translating from 38 languages, at the beginning of this year.

A users original Skype software has to be uninstalled before the Skype – Translator app. can be installed and used.
