Follow a World Record Attempt, Support Charity and Win a Free English Course in Manchester, England
Carlo Schmid is trying to become the youngest person to fly solo around the world.
The 22-year-old from Switzerland would like to follow in the footsteps of Phileas Fogg, the hero of Jules Verne’s novel Around the World in Eighty Days.
Carlo took off from Dusseldorf, Germany on July 11th.
Kaplan International Colleges and Pro Linguis are supporting Carlo’s attempt at a world aviation record.
The money that Carlo raises will go to a UNICEF Switzerland project to support the education of girls in India.
Kaplan is holding a Facebook photo competition to help Carlo in his record attempt. The winning prize is the opportunity to learn English in England for free.
All you have to do is visit Kaplan’s Facebook page and submit a photo in support of Carlo. The person who sends the photo that receives the most votes will win a Vacation English Course in Manchester, England with free accommodation, meals and a flight voucher.
The winner of the contest will also have a chance to meet Carlo when he lands in Manchester in September.
Send in your photos now.
The contest ends on July 25th.
