Norman Mailer: A Great American Writer

Norman Mailer, one of the biggest figures in modern American literature, died this weekend at age 84.

His first book, “The Naked and the Dead”, told the story of American soldiers in World War II. It became an international bestseller.

Mailer later became involved in politics, started a newspaper in New York City and wrote several more books.
