Pancakes can be found throughout the world. Some are salty, some are sweet. They can be called by many names, such as crepes, palacsinta or draniki.
There are also several foods which are similar to pancakes, such as waffles, tortillas and spring rolls.

Here is a recipe for American pancakes:
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups of flour
a 3/4 cup of milk
2 eggs
2 teaspoons of baking powder
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Instructions
Mix flour and baking powder. Then mix the eggs, oil, and milk well. Blend the wet and dry ingredients. Heat a well-oiled skillet. Pour two to three tablespoons of batter onto the skillet. Turn over when bubbles form on top of pancakes. Serve with butter and maple syrup or desired topping.
