Seven New Wonders

Millions of people voted through the Internet to name seven new wonders of the world.
The results were announced yesterday in Lisbon.
The new wonders include the Taj Mahal, the Great Wall of China, Brazil’s statue of Christ the Redeemer and the Colosseum in Rome.
The new list does not include the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty or the Acropolis in Greece.
The ancient Greeks named the original Seven Wonders of the World more than 2,000 years ago.
