Tumeric and Milk

This is a home remedy that is used in India to treat fevers and body aches .If you have a recipe that you would like to share with the world, then please send it to news(at)simpleenglishnews dot com.

Ingredients

250 ml boiled milk
1/2 teaspoon organic turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon pure ghee (clarified butter
1 teaspoon natural sweetener (preferably honey or jaggery)

Method

1. Keep all the ingredients ready.
2. Heat the ghee over a low flame.
3. Add the turmeric. Stir it to make sure all the turmeric is covered in the ghee.
(If it seems the ghee is not enough, then add a little more.)
4. It will bubble in the ghee. It will become a pretty orange color. Don’t let it burn.
5. Add the milk over this.
6. Boil the milk until it gets a good yellow color.
7. Add the sweetener.
8. Cool it in the pan to a comfortable temperature. (Because you should drink it fairly fast.)
9. Strain and drink.
10. It is best taken before sleeping.

American children become less active as they age, according to a report in The Journal of the American Medical Association.

Nine-year-old children usually exercise a couple of hours each day. However, when a child reaches adolescence, he or she becomes more sedentary.

Inactivity can cause many health problems later in life, such as heart disease and obesity.

adolescence: (usually) a person’s teenage years.
sedentary: inactive, sitting down a lot.
obesity: the state of being very fat.
