The U.S. Returned Saint Stephen’s Crown in 1978

The Holy Crown of King Stephen I was returned from the United States to Hungary 30 years ago this week.
The crown was taken from Hungary after the Second World War.
Saint Stephen was the first king of Hungary. He ruled from 1000-1038.
Today the crown is on display at the Hungarian Parliament building in Budapest.
