Why Not Write Somebody a Real Letter?

Listen here

When was the last time you found a letter from a friend or family member in your mailbox?

Many of us have not received a letter by snail mail in several years – aside from cards at holidays and birthdays.

A letter is something you can keep, whereas emails are fleeting. Computers can break down or emails can be deleted accidentally. Therefore, we can lose a piece of communication forever.

Besides, it is often the case that one can say more in a letter than in an email.

snail mail: mail sent by post.

fleeting: not lasting, temporary.
