In order to escape persecution a family of Russian Old Believers set off on a journey into Siberia’s vast taiga in 1936. They settled in the Sayan Mountains, 160 miles away from the nearest civilization. Agafia Lykov, born in 1944, is the last surviving member of the Lykov family. She speaks about her life in taiga.
