According to the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, there were 177, 000 Slovaks working abroad last year.

Nevertheless, more people are returning from abroad to find work at home. There are two main reasons for this: the unusually strong Slovak koruna and the opening of branches in Slovakia by international companies, thanks to the country's central location.

Thus, those who can speak foreign languages, primarily English, can find well-paid jobs at home.
