The Lame Duck President
A lame duck in politics refers to an elected official whose successor has been chosen.
After the presidential election this month, George W. Bush became a lame duck
president.
Because Bush has already served two terms as president, he cannot be re-elected.
Bush still has the power to make presidential decisions until January 20, when Barack
Obama will move into the White House.
