Slovak-Hungarian Relations

Contrary to what the newspapers write and what the politicians say, most people in Slovakia and Hungary do not dislike each other.

Every year thousands of Hungarians visit their neighbours to the north. They find that the country is beautiful and that the people are friendly.

"I grew up with Slovaks. They are my friends. I like them," said Gabriella, a student in Bekescsaba.

Similarly, Slovaks enjoy traveling to towns and cities in Hungary, such as Salgotarjan, Budapest and Eger.

Nie vždy je možný doslovný preklad, keďže každý jazyk má svoje špecifiká. Napr. slovíčko "dislike" znamená "nemať rád, nemať v obľube" a v tomto príklade ho predchádza zápor (do not – prítomný čas), čo asi nejde priamo preložiť do slovenčiny.
