Silvio Berlusconi Apologizes To His Wife

Silvio Berlusconi, the former prime minister of Italy, made a public apology to his wife Veronica Lario today after he had flirted with another woman.

His wife was furious because Berlusconi told a woman last week at a party, "If I weren't married already, I would marry you immediately."

"Dear Veronica, forgive me , I beg you," Berlusconi, who is also Italy's richest man, wrote in his letter.

Lario was an actress before she married Berlusconi. They were married in 1990 and have three children.
