The Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships

Many people today cannot live without their mobile phones. Others, however, find them exasperating.

Some people in the latter group decided to do something about their dislike of mobile phones: They started the Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships in 2000.

Last year's winner at the championships in Finland was Tommi Huotari. He was able to hurl a mobile phone 90 meters.

This year's championship will be held in Narva, Estonia on August 23rd.
